David + Lesley’s Banner of Love

In a world of Pintrest weddings, everything is over-the-top and ultra-cute. But David and Lesley committed to a simple ceremony. They wanted it centered on Jesus and family oriented. They stood under a homemade chuppa, a symbol that God’s banner over us is love. The receiving line at Starbucks was a nice touch (they even met a sherif there who gave Lesley her deputy badge!).

I know Lesley. She’s a courtship advocate and a Pride and Prejudice fanatic. I asked her before she had met David if she was waiting to meet her Mr. Darcy. Her response? “Yes, I’m waiting, but I prefer Mr. Bingley. He’s got the better smile.”

She found her Mr. Bingley and on Friday, she became his wife!

I was honored to be a part of their special day. I enjoyed being the photographer for their relaxed, simple, and poorly lit ceremony with little pressure to perform – I have a new respect though for professional wedding photographers!

Enjoy the photos and many blessings on David and Lesley’s marriage!
